Hello…. I am a medium -dark skin person and I have a burn scar on my thigh. Most of the scar has over the years has blended with my skin. However, the inner outline of the scar is hyperpigmented (darker). I was wondering if there are any tattoo artists that would be able to mix colors in order to blend the darker area of the scar with the lighter area. I know that there is a new procedure out where hypopigmented (lighter) scars can be blended but they can not work with scars that are darker than your complexion. I have tried laser scar removal, creams, etc…. nothing has been effective. That is why I figured maybe a tattoo artist could blend it. Please keep in mind that I do not want your typical tattoo with tribal, butterflies, etc. I am simply looking for someone to be able to blend the darker parts or lighten them.
Thanks.

I am the Dragon. Before me you rightly tremble. I recently had a tattoo etched upon my back in order to better instill fear to those who gaze upon me. However, my tattoo artist has a mild hearing problem.
The avatar of my all encompassing force, etched in indelible ink upon my back is now, due to miscommunication, a Great Red Wagon.
Do you see?
Do you see?

This does not quite bring as much fear into my victims’ hearts as I’d like…

What does it cost to have a full back Radio Flyer tattoo removed?

I was diagnosed with lichen planus when I was about 13. Over 10 years later I am left with scars all over my lower legs. They are darker pigmented there my normal skin tone. I have tried all kinds of bleaching creams and even had a tattoo artist tattoo over some of them to try to match my skin tone. I just want them to be less noticeable. I am so self conscious of these scars. Anyone have any suggestions. I thought about laser removal but I’m not sure if that will work either.

I got a tattoo (my 8th) on my shoulder in June. It was exposed to the sun all summer long. The colors are pink, purple and orange. It began reacting in August with pimple like bumps. My regualr doctor prescribed prednisone, which took care of it..but once I was done with the meds it came back. I then went to a dermatologist who said it was an ink allergy. My tattoo artist and her colleagues disagree since it is not particular to a certain color…and even have a few bumps outside of the inked area.

The Dermatologist prescribed Protopic, an immunosuppressant, which is not doing much good. I have also read that it could possibly cause cancer.

I am desperate for some advice here, so please, if you are knowledgable about this subject help me. It itches!

p.s. This is a tattoo of a rose and a sunset which was done in honor of my daughter who passed away in April. Tattoo removal is not an option.
It was not responsible, I admit. I got the tattoo as a part of my grieving process for my daughter who was stillborn in April. I wore sundresses all summer because I wanted the whole world to see it. Thanks for your input.

What to do about a tattoo that is having a reaction because of sunlight exposure?

Nick, if I may ask…how long did your reaction last?

I’m 17, and I got a tattoo while drunk. The tattoo "artist" was a bit tipsy too, and I don’t like the tattoo. It’s not terrible, it’s slightly blurred, and I was wondering what to do about it. I just wish I hadn’t done it. Should I get a coverup tat? I know removal creams don’t really work, lasering leaves scars, at-home remedies are terrifying, and I have money but I’m underage so… Would a tattoo parlor take pity on me and fix it? Or should I just suck it up and wait until I’m 18?

No need to lecture me about how permanent tattoos are and how dumb I am, trust me I’ve learned my lesson. Keep it to yourself. I just need ideas on how to deal with my tat, cover or fix, etc.
Well, i took a normal tattoo aftercare routine and basically did the opposite. I messed it up as best I could… I could go into details about the abuse that would make a tattoo artist cringe. My poor tattoo, it scabbed like mad within only a couple of days and now it appears quite angry.

than laser to give ride of a tattoo ? o and if anyone tell’s you to peroxidee tattooed into into your tattoo to get ride of it there full of it i did it cus i was a fool listen to a tattoo artist and now it hurts like helland hasn’t't faded at all.Thank you fotakingng the time to answer my question you people are GREAT!

I had a butterfly tattoo put on my right hand. I love the butterfly…its beautiful and i love where its at on my body. The position, the coloring, size, shape…i love it. my only problem with this tattoo, especially since it is in a place where EVERYONE can see it is that the tattoo artist took it a little to far. he put some light grayish purple around parts of the outside to make it look like a shadow or that the wings were fluttering. This "shadow" just looks like a gigantic bruse to me, and i am not comfortable with the way it looks. this tat were somewhere else on my body I probably wouldnt have such a problem with it. I dont want to have the whole tattoo removed. I have been thinking about trying an at home tattoo removal cream to just remove the shadowing. Do these creams work? and if i use one and just put it on the shadowing will it seep into my skin enough to fade the butterfly as well?

My boyfriend got a tattoo over a week ago and he is really unhappy with it. The tattoo artist did a crappy job and it looks like a scribble. He’s found something that he wants to use as a cover up, but how long does he have to wait before he can get it done?

I’ve got a tattoo that I’d like to get rid of, or at least fade enough to have it covered up with a decent tattoo that doesn’t remind me of an abusive exboyfriend.

I’d like first-hand or second-hand (your friend or relative used it), not somebody doing a basic internet search. I want to know that it really worked before I spend the money, regardless of a money-back guarantee from what might be a less than reputable company.

In fact–if YOU are a tattoo artist, your advice would be from the best source!

Thank you!

I was considering getting that Wrecking Ball tattoo removal cream to remove a tattoo I have across the top of my back. I was just going to get it covered but even though it’s faded, it’s still black and my tattoo artist said he’d have to cover it with black, and the tattoo I want has lots of bright colors.

So my question is, if I use one of those tattoo removal creams, will a second tattoo in the same place hurt more?

hey guys,

I want to get my first tattoo covered up, i kinda regret getting so i was wondering if i should go to the same tattoo artist that did it. Would the tattoo artist be insulted? Should i go to another parlor?
