About two years ago, my mom had a back piece done which in the long-run, turned out to be about the opposite of what she wanted. It goes from the small of her lower back all the way up to the top of her shoulders. BUT, after the first session, she realized it was not at all what she wanted, It was never finished, and is only a black outline.
She went to go get removed with laser treatment, and it was said it could be removed in only a few sessions, due to the fact that it is not that deep. BUT, it is much to expensive and painful for her. And she would rather try creams!
She has been doing quite a bit of research and has been reading that "Tat B Gone" is one of the leading, and most effective brands. But she wants to make sure before she buys this brand.
So, is this one the best brand she can get? Or do you guys have any suggestions of other brands?
Thanks guys!(:
Hi. Some info….it is two letters….each approx. 1×1. They are in black ink. I got the tattoo about 6 months ago. From what I’ve read, laser treatment is the best way to go. How many sessions and how much per session, is what I’m looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks…
Steve
i definitely want it removed…
no cover ups
I’m looking for advice from people who have had a tattoo removed or lightened, either through a cream or laser surgery. I’ve looked into both and am weighing my options. I have one tattoo on my ankle I want to remove. It is about 1.5" x 2" and it is mostly black, yellow, and orange. I already know laser surgery is painful and expensive, but I’m looking for people who have had it done to tell me what it was like (how much, how many sessions, how painful, etc). And I’m also really interested in hearing from people who used creams to lighten or remove a tattoo- what brands did you use, for how long, etc. Any helpful advice is appreciated.
I want to join the Navy but I have a tattoo above the neck line (behind my ear). I’m planning on getting it removed by laser treatment but I heard that if you used a tattoo fading cream before hand, it will take less sessions for the laser removal process!?!? If this is true, I’d love to save some cash on unnecessary treatments.
I already discussed it with my recruiter and he said nooooo way can it be above the neck line no exceptions! And tattoo parlors that offer tattoo removal are doing it illegally…they’re not licensed to do so. Only doctors.
Ok sorry this is so long but I have some questions about laser tattoo removal. I got a fairly small (about the length of a hand) 3 lined lettering tattoo in black ink on my side that was spelled incorrectly (artist’s fault, the stencil WAS correct). I’ve been to a few different tattoo shops and didn’t like any of their ideas for cover ups or fixes (koi fish, flowers, eagles, skulls, etc are the only things that will effectively cover it up was what I was told). Basically nothing can be done to fix it to my liking. So I want to get rid of my first, last, and only tattoo. I have a few questions about it:
1) I’m mixed (black and white) and have about the same skin color as Raven Symone…will the laser work properly on this skin color? I read online that the lighter the skin color, the better the results.
2) Has anyone ever had this done? Was it worth the money? Did it completely remove that tattoo? How many sessions did it take and how long before it was completely gone?
Thanks!!!
Thanks…no offense but that cream doesn’t look very effective. I would be skeptical about that….And did you get a numbing cream or injection before the procedure?
I have a knuckle tattoo.
Its not a very good tattoo either.
I’ve decided I want it removed.
Ive been putting skin bleaching cream on it.
But I had this grand idea of rubbing it out with an emery board.
My Logid:
Its not a very deep tattoo. And regular "scrapes" go about three skin layers deep.
Now, Assuming my tattoo is exactly .8 of a centimeter down, I can rub it, just until I produce heat.
Then the friction will cause minimal skin loss, maybe a layer or two.
And I would clean my owie, and let it heal.
Then start the process all over again.
Im exfoliating my skin, to the point of a minor scrape.
[bringing the ink to the top layer]
Letting my skin heal, and giving it another shot.
Removing the second layer, etc.
So, what do you think?
My Logic::
Not logid….
In response to the "Why not get it removed?"
Well, I have been through removal. And its incredibly expensive. Not per session, but the amount of sessions.
I was quoted 100.00 per session
[not bad right?]
BUT!
I would need 30-50 sessions because of the red colour in my tattoo.
I just wanted to know if this was an endless battle, or something that could make sense.
And it isnt HURTING, it just gets warm to remove small bits of skin at a time.
This is the sand blaster, or sander theory where I expect it to come out in the first go round.
i have a tattoo on my upper leg above my knee that was done with a homemade tattoo gun and black india ink about 13 yrs ago it is 4inch by 5 inch and still as dark as when it was put i have an appointment to get it lasered in 2 weeks my question is has anyone ever had a india ink homemade tattoo lasered and if so how many sessions did it take to remove and how many sessions before you could see drastic lightening of the tattoo thanks in advance
I have a black 2×7 inch tribal tattoo on my shoulder blade that is only a few months old, and because it’s so new and because my pale skin absorbs ink so well (my other black tattoos are 8-10 years old and are still quite dark), I didn’t know if laser would even be worth it, since it might be too "fresh" and take 20 or more sessions.
Has anyone had success removing a tattoo that was only a year or two old when you started the process? (and if so, what color was yours and how many sessions did it take?)
*And before anyone judges me, my most recent tattoo was not a spur of the moment thing, or a drunk thing, or a naive thing. I’m well aware that tattoos are meant to be permanent. I’m in my thirties and spent a year designing my most recent tattoo, but (without going into detail) I had a very traumatic personal tragedy happen the day after the tattoo, and now my negative association has really added to the trauma and is psychologically throwing me into a depression, and I just want this tattoo OFF of me so that I don’t have the constant reminder. ALSO: a cover up is NOT an option.
Thanks!
NOTE: I’m in the L.A. area, and I’d also love it if anyone has any recommendations on good places (not Dr. Tattoff or scammers who will charge me more than other places just because they’re featured on reality shows!). And to Sum1Special, yes, the ink has already set in, since it was done a couple months ago now and was done healing after the first few weeks.
Some of you may have read my other question about "What should I do". I didn’t mention it there, but part of the reason my parents are so mad about me having tats (I’m 16) is that they are in fact very rich. My parents are trying to force me to get laser tattoo removal which i wouldn’t mind, but as someone pointed out it would cost thousands of dollars. but they have more than enough money to pay for that. if anyone read my previous post about "what should i do", please tell me if this makes a difference, and what should happen. i got these tats about a month ago, how long do i have to wait to get them lasered? and i dont mind getting them lasered so if they want me to and have the $$ then i should, right? also, should i buy one of those other in-home tattoo removal products first to see if i can remove some of the ink that way so that the laser removal doesn’t take as many sessions?
has anyone tried removing black tattoos? was it succesful? any ink or scarring left? how many sessions it takes for a medium sized tattoo? any pics of before and after?
Hello, (before answering, please read, or do not mention any other options of removal.)
I know there are creams, but that’s not an option for me. I want a scar, or wouldn’t mind having one to remind me. Besides, I already foolishly tried to cut across the tattoo to give it a certain look, but I messed it up, and will have a scar anyways.
I live in Canada (Toronto), and was curious if it’s still possible to find clinics that provide tattoo excisions?
I simply cannot afford laser removal : (
It’s also a rather new tattoo (a year old), so it might take many sessions.
Not to mention the tattoo is only about an inch long, and a centimeter or so thick (so I wouldn’t require a skin graft). And assume the procedure would be less than 500$ (A simple cut around the tattoo, and stitch up).
Thanks a lot
and how much will it cost to get an 1.5" by .5" tattoo to get removed and how many sessions its black ink

how much would a sleeve tattoo removal cost and about how many sessions do you guys think it would take? and i’ve heard tattoo removals leave a scar but some internet sites say it rarely scares.. so for people that have experience does it really scar? if so is it really obvious? does any cream or anything take the scar away?
i’ve had a couple laser tattoo removal sessions, the black ink is pretty faded at this point. my question is if i was to have something in color done over the faded black, in a few years when the different colors start to fade, will you be able to see the original tattoo again?
