Its about three years old, 4 inches in height, its placed between my hip bone and pelvic bone and rather low. I got it during my "dark" time I guess you could say, lol. It was supposed to be a "gothic" butterfly and I guess from the area it was placed it healed fuzzy and now looks like a dragon. Would I be able to cover it with another butterfly using brighter colors like fuschia and such? I have another tattoo on my back that I have done one session of laser removal and I will NEVER go through that again! I can live with that one…..so what are my options? Live with this one or is a pretty cover up possible?

Thanks,
Jodi

Hello…. I am a medium -dark skin person and I have a burn scar on my thigh. Most of the scar has over the years has blended with my skin. However, the inner outline of the scar is hyperpigmented (darker). I was wondering if there are any tattoo artists that would be able to mix colors in order to blend the darker area of the scar with the lighter area. I know that there is a new procedure out where hypopigmented (lighter) scars can be blended but they can not work with scars that are darker than your complexion. I have tried laser scar removal, creams, etc…. nothing has been effective. That is why I figured maybe a tattoo artist could blend it. Please keep in mind that I do not want your typical tattoo with tribal, butterflies, etc. I am simply looking for someone to be able to blend the darker parts or lighten them.
Thanks.

I’m thinking about removing a rather large tattoo from my rib to about my belly button. I had consultations with 3 plastic surgeons. Laser removal would be practically a waste of money and time because the colors are so light, they told me they would probably never exit my skin. Tattoo excision is possible but would leave a HUGE scar and would cost 6,000 dollars. I was thinking about buying an over the counter topical numbing cream named LMX-4 and then taking a pumice stick and sand away the entire thing. I understand this would scar but I would then get laser scar revision if needed… any suggestions?

I got a tattoo (my 8th) on my shoulder in June. It was exposed to the sun all summer long. The colors are pink, purple and orange. It began reacting in August with pimple like bumps. My regualr doctor prescribed prednisone, which took care of it..but once I was done with the meds it came back. I then went to a dermatologist who said it was an ink allergy. My tattoo artist and her colleagues disagree since it is not particular to a certain color…and even have a few bumps outside of the inked area.

The Dermatologist prescribed Protopic, an immunosuppressant, which is not doing much good. I have also read that it could possibly cause cancer.

I am desperate for some advice here, so please, if you are knowledgable about this subject help me. It itches!

p.s. This is a tattoo of a rose and a sunset which was done in honor of my daughter who passed away in April. Tattoo removal is not an option.
It was not responsible, I admit. I got the tattoo as a part of my grieving process for my daughter who was stillborn in April. I wore sundresses all summer because I wanted the whole world to see it. Thanks for your input.

What to do about a tattoo that is having a reaction because of sunlight exposure?

Nick, if I may ask…how long did your reaction last?

I have a few tattoos I would like to remove, various colors and the like. I have done laser tatoo removal and it works, but is extremley painful… Looking for an alternitive. (Other than not getting them in the 1st place.)

I have a few tattoos that I’d like to get rid of. Two of them are 5 years old and one of them is 1 year old. The year-old tat is on my wrist and that’s the one I’m most self-conscious about since it’s always exposed and I’m fair-skinned so it stands out even though the colors aren’t sharp.

I’m saving up and researching laser tattoo removal. But in the meantime, is there any way to help fade my wrist tat so it’s not so noticeable? [Besides tanning, but something along those lines]. I’ve researched products like Wrecking Balm a little and it seems a bit shady. Does Neosporin only work as a fading agent if the tattoo is fresh?

Also, what products should I stay away from?

I’m in florida, I can’t seem to find anyone who can remove a largle colorful fairy tattoo that I have on my back. I went to one place in Clearwater that had a Q-switched ruby laser but she told me it could not remove this since it had too many colors and possiby titanium based ink. Does anyone know where I could go that has a more advanced laser? Or if it’s even possible?

Has anyone had a tattoo removed with a laser or cream?

I have been looking at the various creams offered and it seems they are only effective on certain colors and take several months to show a good result. My tattoo is mostly blue and green with some orange, red, yellow and black. It’s about 6"x2".

Just curious about any personal experiences with having one removed successfully or otherwise. Thanks!

I have a tattoo I want to cover up but it’s in black. Can you put other colors over the black or will it not show up??

There’s a new tattoo ink technology that was recently created called InfinitInk. It looks just as good as real ink, but it’s 4 times easier to remove with a laser. It’s only available in black ink at the moment, but expect colors to be available soon.
haters stfu

I have a tattoo on the underside of my wrist. I have had it lasered 3 times. The results have been good – It is multicolored with black, neon green, neon purple, and neon pink. It was a cover-up for another tattoo. The black ink is nearly gone, except for the original tattoo and the brightness of the other colors is gone as well. However, there is some scarring. I am about to schedule my 4th appointment. I just wanted to hear the results of others who have had their tattoo lasered and if there was any scarring?

I have a small tattoo, (red, purple, and black) and I have had two removal sessions, twelve weeks apart, and I have not seen much progress at all. The outline on one side has faded a bit but thats about it. How many sessions does it usually take? Should it be working better than this or am I rushing things? Are there any times when tattoos just want come off? I know that purple and red can be difficult colors to remove but I thought that black was supposed to be pretty easy.

It seems like every year or two there are jumps forward in the tattoo laser removal technology. I've got a pretty big one I'd like to remove with many colors and I'm waiting until the tech makes the process easier and more effective. How do I find out the doctors with the latest tools?

I want to get my tattoo removed via laser. It is red and black and I had many consultations telling me the colors of my tattoo are the easiest to remove. Anyway, Money is not an object and I was wondering if anyone had their tattoo removed in Chicago and if so, by what doctor? How where your results. Thanks. Also, if anyone knows anyone who got it removed and where did they go to etc., in Chicago or anywhere near Illinois would be appreciated. Thanks!
